Sometimes, things just fit. Like when you put on a glove. Or when you try on a new ring. Or when you hold hands for the first time with someone you've fallen in love with... Or when you start a training. It just....fits!
We started our 2nd Advanced Communication Skills Training for FHI implementing agencies today, after arriving in Batam yesterday afternoon. This is only the second time I've been in Batam, and much has changed. While there has been more "development", as in buildings and more roads and more people... there is also decay. Abandoned buildings that were once restaurants, hotels, or some were simply never finished. Progress?
But more on my reflections of Batam later... and back to the training.
We started the class with Island Hopping to the music of Papaya! And that really energized the participants...what fun!
It just feels...right. A good feeling. Yaay!
