I came upon this beautiful quote this morning upon typing "Dalai Lama" into Cooliris on Firefox. I was just thinking to myself, I need to listen to what my niece Lesley tells her son when he's being hyper, "Just think, 'inner peace...inner peace...inner peace..."
The photo slide here really made me stop and think. Yesterday was not a good day for inner peace nor was it a good day for compassion. Two things that not only I desperately need, but the world desperately needs today.
I hope today is a better one for me in practicing both. Looking out my window at the rain that is gently quieting down, one cannot help but notice the stillness that post-downpour drizzle brings.
Inner peace...compassion...be my guides for the day.
